Tell your story once. Your care team actually sees it.
If your clinic uses PhyPal, you'll get a text or email inviting you to a short, guided check-in before your visit. It takes about six minutes, works on any phone, and means your doctor walks in already knowing what's going on — so the visit is about you, not the clipboard.

What to expect
Three small things, and a visit that feels different.
Before your visit
Open the link from your clinic. A guided check-in asks about your injury or condition, where it hurts, what makes it better or worse, what you've tried and how it affects your day. Plain language, one question at a time.
At your visit
Your answers are already in front of your doctor, organized. Less time repeating your history, more time on the exam, the plan and your questions.
Between visits
Every so often you'll get a two-minute check-in: how's the pain, how's walking or lifting, are you managing the home program. If something gets worse, your care team knows — before your next appointment.
For your situation
Whether you were hurt at work or live with a long-term condition.
Injured Workers
Getting treatment approved shouldn't be your second job.
In workers' compensation, most treatment your doctor orders — an MRI, physical therapy, an injection, surgery — has to be requested and approved first. When a request goes out incomplete, it bounces back and you wait longer. PhyPal helps your clinic send complete requests the first time and keep track of every one, so fewer things fall through the cracks.
- Your first check-in captures how the injury happened, where it hurts and what your job requires
- Your clinic can see where each treatment request stands instead of calling around
- Your check-ins between visits help your doctor document how you're really doing
- Nothing about your claim is decided by PhyPal — your doctor and the claims process do that

Chronic Pain & Rheumatology
A fifteen-minute visit can't hold three months. Your check-ins can.
Arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, autoimmune conditions — they change week to week, and the visit is a snapshot. Short check-ins between visits give your doctor the trend: how function and pain are moving, whether a medication is helping, when a flare started. You get care that responds to what's actually happening.
- Simple 0–10 and "how far can you walk" style questions, the same ones your doctor uses
- Report a flare or side effect when it happens; your care team sees it
- Your home exercise or self-management plan in one place, with reminders
- A predecessor PhyPal app was studied in a randomized trial of 93 people with chronic low back pain — the app group's disability improved significantly more over 12 weeks

FAQ
Common questions from patients.
Can I sign up for PhyPal myself?
Not yet — PhyPal is provided through your clinic. If your clinic uses PhyPal, they will send you an invitation by text or email. If you think you should have received one, ask your clinic's front desk.
Does PhyPal decide whether my treatment is approved?
No. PhyPal helps your clinic send complete requests and keep track of them. Decisions about your treatment are made by your doctor and, in workers' compensation, by the claims and review process.
What if I don't have a smartphone?
The check-ins work on any phone or computer with a web browser. If that's not an option, tell your clinic and they can complete the intake with you at your visit.
Who sees my answers?
Your care team at the clinic that invited you. PhyPal does not share your answers with employers or insurers.
